A polariscope is a device that uses polarized light to visualize and analyze the stress distribution in transparent materials like PET Preform and Glass. The device consists of a light source, a polarizer, and an analyzer, which are arranged in such a way that the light beam passes through the material under investigation. The material is then viewed through the analyzer, which reveals any stress patterns within it.

The use of our polariscope  is widespread in materials science and laboratories, where it is used to analyze the properties of materials such as glass, plastics, PET preform etc.. For example, it can be used to identify stress points in glass objects such as windshields or bottles, to determine the quality of a plastic injection mould, or to analyze the structural integrity of Transparent Plastic components like PET Preform.

‘TBG’ Polariscope is used to view the internal material stresses and material flow characteristics of PET preforms and containers. This is ideal for laboratory use and at-the-line preform and bottle inspection

Defects in preform can be easily detected by using this equipment. When a preform is held parallel to viewing field colour pattern is seen known as isochromatic fringe. This indicates magnitude of the stresses introduced during moulding process. When a preform is held 45 deg to viewing field a coloured pattern known as isoclinic is seen, this indicates direction of stresses.

‘TBG’ Polariscope is used in the preform assembly to check the possible defect in the preforms. Take the precautions at the early stage would help a lot in cost cutting and time-saving.
